Recently diagnosed

Hi, I’m new to the forum and have been diagnosed in the last month. The journey so far has been a ride, a day to day roller coaster of emotions, reactions, consultations and what not. But, I’m doing ok!

Looking around the forum it seems well contributed to and full of useful information, I decided to join in hope that I can benefit from that support, and equally be of support to others. It’s nice to virtually meet you all!

Regards,

BPB

Welcome! Lots of people on here are supportive and someone always knows what you are going through and can compare notes. A club we would all prefer not to be in but I’m glad it exists! Good luck xxx

Hi BPB

Firstly, welcome to the forums, I am sure you will find it a great source of information and support. I’m sorry to read of your diagnosis, the first few days and weeks are always difficult when trying to come to terms with things.

As well as the support you receive on the forums you might find it helpful to order the BCC resources pack. It has been specifically designed for those newly diagnosed and contains information to help you better understand your diagnosis, test results and the various treatments available. If you would like to order a copy just follow the link bellow:-

Also, do give the helpline a ring if you need any further support or information. They’re on 0808 800 6000. Open 9-5 Monday to Friday and 10-2 Saturday.

Hello  -  I’ve just been diagnosed too.  On the same roller coaster as you I think.  I am trying to keep upbeat and positive.  That seems to be the way to go.  So, good luck.  May the force be with you.  xx
