Recon shrinking after 10 years

I was mis-diagnosed nearly 11 years ago. When I finally got a diagnosis I had Ac chemo and a tram flap double mastectomy/recon.
At that time I was about 9 stone (which is skinny for me).

I then had rads, more chemo, 6 years of tamoxifen (put on 5 stone) and then nothing. I developed secondaries and and then was put on zometa, femara, herceptin and zoladex (and put on another stone).

Mt recons were always fairly equal with the non cancer breast being a bit larger. This continued through the horrendous 6 stone weight gain.

Over the years I have lost a few stone and then put it on without much impact on my breasts. However recently I have tried very hard and lost 2 stone. However this time my recon (cancer side) has virtually disappeared and is half the size of the other breast, This is over 10 years after the original recon. Any ideas ? Opinions? I am due to see my onc in the next week !!!

My mom is a 10 year survivor and was treated with rads and lumpectomy. She has just noticed that her treated breast has begun to shrink in size. She has a normal mammo last week. What was your experience with breast shrinkage so many years after treatment?

i was told it was just one of those things…In my case probably triggered by a fluctuation in my weight.

Sorry cannot be more helpful
