Hi, I had a lumpectomy about a year ago following a DCIS. I did think my lumpectomy would only be the size of a sugar cube but I’ve had about a quarter of my boob taken. I have small boobs so it shows a lot.

I feel like I’m making a big thing out of this as I’ve been so lucky with my diagnosis and then radiotherapy. And I feel guilty that I’m making a big thing of it but it’s making me so self conscious. I only showed my partner my boob about a year after surgery.

I know I can’t have implants but just wondering if anyone else has had any further surgery following a DCIS.

I had the same problem as you with the difference being obvious. I had Lipomodelling (common fat transfer) but have to admit it didn’t really work for me so I now use prosthesis. I have found Knitted Knockers the most comfortable.
