Reconstruction Help

I had my reconstruction with titanium mesh and bag.
I have been using bio oil to help with the scar and today my BC nurse decided not to put the rest of the fluid in the implant as my new bloob ( that’s what I call it) the skin is shinning and looks as if the skin is peeling. My BC nurse has told me to use body cream instead of bio oil…
I have to leave it another week before they try and put the rest of the fluid in.
As anyone had similar problem?
Can anyone other any words of advice?
Feeling Very concerned.

I would take the advice from BCN as they deal with it all the time. I had expander towards the end if may and had it fully filled in one sitting 4 weeks later as starting rads. Didn’t have any skin problems I must admit. Just a but if tightness a week into rads so they drained off a bit of saline to take the pressure off.

I had bilateral reconstruction and partial fill at the end of August and haven’t had any further infill yet. The skin has to stretch and settle and the swelling will go down. It would be terrible to get an infection at this stage so I think waiting for your new ‘bloob’ to settle down and the skin to recover is very wise.
