I had a failed diep flap surgery in August and interested in finding out if anyone has either had implants after radiotherapy or lipomodelling to construct the entire breast. I have heard that these options may help with nerve pain in the masectomy area and think that this will help with my sense of body image.

I cant help with reconstruction after radiotherapy sorry but I have got an old LD reconstruction in which didnt need radiotherapy back then. However I had a recurrence last year. Its now had 15 sessions of radiotherapy on it and has got quite hard. Surgeon is hoping this will improvewith time. Although I may be looking at further surgery at some point.
Im not sure how the skin/tissue is for reconstruction after radiotherapy but Im guessing its the best way round, given the choice. I just thought Id share my experience incase it helps in any way.
