Recycle your lost hair.

I have just had my 3rd of 4 cycles of T&C. 3 weeks apart. I’m from z and thats the name we have for the taxotere and cy…oops cant remember the name, that you have. I have had the cold cap everytime. 12 days after the 1st round  I  started shedding my hair. Being a hairdresser and a hoarder I couldnt bear to part with it so I saved the daily bunches in a box.  Then it slowed down. I had long hair and cut it to my shoulders which helped as it was matting. Im not overly tall but if you arent tall enough to be looking down on me and my thinning pate I  looked reasonably normal. Then, as it thinned a bit more on top, and we are in the midst of summer, to prevent a sunburnt scalp I  started wearing a scarf tied fancy shmancy. I found some great ideas on youtube. I also found one that used t-shirts cut under the armpits and then used as turbans. Cost.Zero. MInd you, I’m a few tops short now. The fact that I still look like I have long hair, I wore the scarf only to cover the top of my head and tied it at the side. Now that the hair shedding is on again I will  need to cover it up more often. All my life, whenever I  wore a head scarf like Queen Lizzie, I’d end up looking like a drowned rat. I hated that flat look on top and suffice to say, the look is back.  This is where my saved hair is a blessing. Ive put it into a hairnet and fashioned it to fit across the top of my head so that when I wear a scarf I have a nice piece of cushioning that looks, a la natural, and moulds to the scalp. As for shampoo, shulphate free was recommended. Not hard to find as they have been in use for years. I only apply shampooo and press my hand against my head all over . Rinse, apply sulphate free conditioner, comb with special widetooth comb, rinse, in tepid water, blot hair gently and leave to dry.
