Hi, out the blue a few days ago I developed red blotches on my breast with tenderness. No obvious lumps , mammogram a year ago all fine. The thing is I’m having massive health anxiety anyway because I had a hysterectomy which resulted in a perforated bowel, I have two stoma bags and bladder issues so this breast issue is a very big something else.
Getting through to the GP will be difficult and then I have to be referred so I’m thinking it will be at least a few weeks. I’m just in a state over everything and I wondered if anyone had experience of redness on breast. I’m 64 and have started using vagifem to try and support my bladder so I’m worrying about that now.
Anxiety is awful. The fistula in my bowel nearly killed me and will never heal so I’m just a wreck at present .

Sorry you’re having a difficult time. Please get it checked out. I have inflammatory breast cancer which can present with redness and feel a bit like mastitis and not necessarily with a lump. If getting through to the GP is difficult, try phoning 111 as they will sort that out if they think you need an urgent appointment. Hoping it’s just a rash. Good Luck.
@groundhog65 Welcome to the forum. As has already been said you should get this checked. Yes it’s not an obvious lump but the BCN signs and symptoms of bc do include change of colour.
As you appear to have one of the signs and symptoms your GP should see you quickly and refer you to a breast clinic for further checks. It may be nothing but it’s best to get it checked. Make it clear to your GP receptionist that it could be a sign of breast cancer so they see you as quick as possible.
