Red mark on breast

Hi. I had early stage BC in 2023 in left breast, lumpectomy, radio and now on Letrozole.
3 weeks ago I found 1cm red circular mark on right side of right breast. Thought it may be a bug bite - but no itching and still the same mark 3 weeks on. If I press it it fades then returns.

I don’t want to be bothering the BCN’s again but feel very anxious as to what it may be.

Any thoughts or advice please? Thx

Welcome to this community :hugs:.

Please do bother your doctors. Better to get it checked out as your anxiety will only get worse if you don’t. Then you can either find out it’s not a problem or get treatment. Wishing you all the best.

Hi pennylane,

Thanks for your message.

It’s understandable that finding a red mark on your breast after having had a previous breast cancer diagnosis would make you feel anxious.

Nearly everyone who has been treated for cancer worries about it coming back (recurrence) and you’re not alone in being anxious about this. As you have noticed this new symptom, we would suggest that you contact your breast care nurse so that they can arrange an appointment to assess you. As @ruthb37 and @tili say, you will not be bothering your team as it is always important to get any new changes checked.
