Removing sentinel lymph nodes

Hi there, as I can’t seem to join other threads (maybe an iPad problem?!), I thought I would start a new one! I’m about to start chemo in 3 weeks (before surgery). So before that I have to have an operation to remove the sentinel lymph node. Does anyone know how long the operation takes and what the recovery time might be? I guess it can’t be too long if I’m going to recover in time for chemo in 2 weeks. Pre-op today, so maybe I will find out more…

Hello hope you are ok think you managed to join the the April neoadjuvant chemo thread now but thought I would send you a message as you have not had any others. Not sure if you have had the op yet. The op is at most an hour. You will see the physio on the ward & be given an exercise regime it isn’t too rigorous but is uncomfortable for a while. Recovery is quick but there is arm numbness & really annoying shooting nerve pain for a while I still get this 2 months on. Take care & good luck with the chemo xx
