Research on the cognitive functioning and emotional vulnerability in women with secondary

What is the study?

The study looks at cognitive functioning and emotional vulnerability in women with secondary (stage IV) breast cancer diagnosis. Secondary breast cancer is often not talked about or widely researched. The goal of the study is to bring attention to women who are living with this diagnosis, which would hopefully, lead to more psychological treatments available to improve their quality of life.

Who’s organising it?

The study is run by the Birkbeck Centre for Building Resilience in Breast Cancer.

What’s the criteria for taking part?

You can take part if:

  • you have been diagnosed with secondary breast cancer; and
  • you are between the ages of 18 and 70

What do I need to do?

If you would like to take part, please email Anna Dobretsova on adobre01@mail.bbk.ac.uk for a link to the survey. The survey can be completed online on a laptop or a desktop computer and takes approximately 35 minutes. It would require you to answer a couple of questionnaires and complete two cognitive tasks.
