Hi Steval
As my breast care nurse wrote, “What’s read cannot be unread”. Google is so tempting but so dangerous if you hit on the wrong information. I had a triple negative tumour along with a hormone-receptive tumour and never asked about it. It didn’t register with me as a chose not to read the letters, just skim, and I am so glad I didn’t know. But… no success story from me. However, if you’ve been reading survival stats, just remember that percentages and averages include the very unlucky (0%) up to cases that are 100%. You cannot know where you fit in there so you have a choice - do you want to stay unhappy and scared, lured by stories of the 0% or do you want to try focusing on those who live with TNBC - you can move about between the two or opt for one but one way lies misery, the other is led by hope (not always stupid in cancerworld).
If you are interested, there is a Facebook group for TNBC which is moderated by a very well-informed woman and I’ve found it rather useful. It’s called Triple Negative Breast Cancer (UK & Northern Ireland) BC Support. Unimaginative maybe but the UK and NI part is important because it’s linked to the NHS, unlike other groups. This is where you might get encouraging answers to your question. If you are diagnosed as Stage 4, there is a specific group for them.
I hope you get some encouraging answers. I’m still trying to get my head round something that can outwit the best treatments but doesn’t always do so. All the best
