I am a BRCA1 previvor who underwent a bilateral mastectomy in 2023 as well as a saplingo-ooporectomy that same year. While I was and still am grateful for the opportunity to be tested for this and other hereditary cancers, it was not an easy journey. Because of that, I want to help others who may find themselves in the same difficult place as I was-what should I do to stay cancer free?
As a result, I published my own memoir written in both English and Spanish called ‘Modified-The Journey to My New Normal’ which is available on Amazon.
