Well, after a 30 minute heated telephone conversation with the Hospital here they have just sent my results to me by email ! And it says “Benign compatible with fibroadenoma”.
Obviously I am delighted beyond words to get this in writing after 6 weeks of stress - but I have to admit to also feeling let down and abandoned by the consultant and all the staff there who I have tried to speak to this past month or so … Im sure the anger toward them will wear off and by tonight I will want a glass of wine, or even better a large bar of chocolate to celebrate!
They have told me that I will still need an appointment to discuss the results with the consultant and to decide what, if anything, should be done in the future…and for that of course I need to wait !
I genuinely want to say a huge thank you to all of you - I just would not have managed this without the support and understanding you guys have given me these past 2 months.
I feel shame in not being able to think of a BIGGER and STRONGER word than “Thank you” to say - because it means much more to me than that.
I cant possibly mention every individual by name there have been so many of you involved … but I send you all my love and respect, and hope that those of you who are undergoing treatment stay strong and keep well, and those of you waiting for test results get the ones you want to hear.
And for all ladies coming on here for the first time, or who are new to the forum, I am 100% certain you will find some comfort and support from the fabulous people on here!
OK I feel like I have written an Oscar speech here … but it was important to me that I didnt just disappear without saying bye bye … and I have no doubt I wont be able to stop myself from checking in from time to time to see how everyone is doing.

I think that it is terrible how they (the hospital) have put you through so much by making you wait all this time. Anyway let’s hope that you don’t have to wait as long to see the consultant and find out what they are going to do about things (if anything).
