Results Day Number 2 on Thursday

I was diagnosed last November with a 4cm, grade 2, IDC. Initial plan was lumpectomy, radiotherapy and letrozole. After the lumpectomy and sentinel lymph node removed, pathology found a small area of micromets - although Dr didn’t seem concerned about that. But although he had been removed all the invasive cancer, the invasive area was in the middle of a further 4cm of low grade DCIS, so last month I had a mastectomy and I get the results on Thursday and my anxiety has gone through the roof again. They have done the oncotype test, and I am ER+ but HER negative, and my nurse had unofficially told me that the score has come back low. Having done chemo for a different primary cancer 13 years ago - the thought of doing it again fills me with dread :grimacing:

Good luck with your results on Thursday - hoping you get a positive outcome. The anxious waiting for results is torture.

Welcome to the forum @driver59 , sorry you are having to do this again - you are certainly not on your own having to ride the cancer train more than once :frowning:

Its the not knowing im finding hard but i guess lots in same boat. Ive had results now waiting for operation daye. A nurse said its quiet small . But still makes me worry

I know I was the same just wanted surgery and get it over and done with , then treatment plan so you know in your head what’s happening .They are usually quick giving surgery day then it’s all go preop etc
