Ok I was first diagnosed 9 years ago. Small lump left breast. Had lumpectomy, rads then tamoxifen for 5 years. Was discharged. Saw news article that 10 years tamoxifen is recommended now, so back to GP who referred me to oncologist, who agreed to me being put back on Tamoxifen for a further 5 years, which Im still on.
However about a month ago, noticed left breast didnt look right. Skin seemed orange peel like, dent where lumpectomy had been done seemed deeper and bit of a lump felt near lumpectomy scar. So back to GP who examined me then referred me to breast clinic, where I went 2 weeks ago. Had Mammo, ultrasound. Lump was seen but they not sure if its scar tissue as its very near my lumpectomy scar. 4 Biopsy’s taken. BCN couldnt tell me if its cancer or not. She said its 50/50.
So, anyway, got results tomorrow morning and am of course really scared.
Havent told anyone except my hubby.
