Hi,
I posted a couple of weeks ago after having a stereotactic biopsy of a new area of denseness in my rt breast following a screening mammogram. I attended the breast clinic on Monday for results and was told results were inconclusive and I would need to have a wire guided excision biopsy with margin and then wait a further three weeks for those results. Although I know there’s still a high chance that the area is benign, it’s the prolonged period of uncertainty that’s starting to feel tough. By the time I get any definitive results it will be two months since my initial mammogram. The area is two cms. I feel like I’m on a roller coaster that I can’t get off at the moment. It helps to read of other people’s similar experiences on this forum and is helping me to feel optimistic about the final outcome.

Hello again, well it is re-assuring that they are making absolutely sure before they will let you go and that is a good thing, although the waiting is prolonged but at least you will know for sure.
Just come on here whenever you need to and we will help and support you in whatever way we can.
We have a pair of tough pants, several spares to be honest, so sending them to you to use :)

Hi I am waiting for results too. Had me wle and more removed 13 days ago. Going to see surgeon on Friday for results. Conference for result of her2 borderline test and hope they got clear margin and nothomgvon more. Dreading extending treatment to incorporate chemo!! I just have one question. Although I thought I am recovering well from op I am now getting dull pain daily but intermittently on the actual area where the tumour was. I know this cos it hurt there when they pressed on with the ultra sound thing at the biopsies. Can anyone please tell me if this is normal post op please?
That should say node removed not more! Blasted phone!
