Review after 'all clear'.

Sorry to ask another question!

I’ve had the all clear, after being diagnosed with breast cysts (one drained).

But I have been given an appointment back at the breast clinic in January for a review.

Is this usual after everything turns out to be benign?

Thank you again,

B

Hiya,

I wonder if they just want to see you again to check that the cysts haven’t filled again in which case, they’d probably drain them for you once more.

I’m sorry Ican’t be any more help than that, but take care of yourself, n am really glad your cysts were benign!

With much love,
Shelley xxx

Hi ohdear

As well as the support you receive on the forums you might find it helpful to give the BCC helpline a call and talk to one of the trained members of staff on 0808 800 6000. Here you can talk things through and share your concerns with someone who will offer you emotional support as well as practical information. The lines are open Monday to friday 9 to 5pm and Saturday 9 to 2pm.

Best wishes Sam, BCC Facilitator

Thank you Shelley, and thank you Sue I think I will give the helpline a call.

Its standard practice at my breast clinic to bring you back in a month or so’s time, just to check how you’ve been getting on. It’s a precautionary measure, but doesn’t mean that they are anticipating any problems.
Good luck x
