Ribociclib side effects, scalp pain

Hey everyone, has anyone had intense scalp pain on ribociclib. It hurts a lot when I touch, wash or brush my hair. Also my scalp looks a bit red, I’m wondering if it’s because of ribociclib or smth else.
Thank you

Hi,
My head was very sensitive when on paclitaxel. Tingly & sore. I got Moo Goo scalp lotion & massaged it in. Although tingly & sore when massaging i felt the more i did it, it eventually took away the pain.
Good luck

Thank you! I’ll try it

I too have the scalp pain. I will definitely try the moo goo scalp lotion. it helps.

Ill have my fingers crossed it works for you. Im sure i got mine on Amazon. I really applied pressure when massaging it in. It was uncomfortable but helped.
Good luck x

I thought it was just me. Epic amounts of pain if I wear a hat then touch my hair when I take it off. Do you get pain usually if you tie your hair up too tight? I have a connective tissue disorder and having hair under traction was always a problem. It’s magnified now, though. I blamed it on the letrozole increasing pain responsiveness.

Hope you find a solution to the problem. Let us know if you do!

Hi im so sorry that you’re having these symptoms. I unfortunately had to stop ribociclib and now I have docetaxel chemotherapy. I’m now on my 3rd cycle and lost my hair. But the scalp pain continues and it’s even more now that I have lost my hair and the remaining few follicles cause so much pain. So no solution for now for me, but I hope when all my hair falls out it will be a little bir easier. So much love…
