I just thought that I would mention how helpful the riser recliner we bought was after my DIEP operation. I had bilateral DIEPs and found it very difficult to move about and couldn’t get in and out of bed on my own. We spent ages trying to decide whether to buy one or not but am so glad we did. We bought an electric one second hand. It was in absolutely immaculate condition so did the job and saved us a lot of money! We have very squishy sofas at home and again I wouldn’t have really managed them. Most importantly it made it easier for me to get up and down and keep mobile avoiding DVTs.
Totally. I’ve been sleeping in mine since January 4, 15! These should be in replacement of the hospital beds for women going through mastectomies!

my husband and I still often reflect on how invaluable the riser- recliner was. I just don’t know how I’d have managed without it. It really was money well spent.
