Robots
Robots I’ve recently been reading about work the University of the West of England is doing on robotics. They have developed a prosthetic head which can perform 36 different movements and perform facial expressions.
The Professor who’s leading the research sees this technology as a possibility for use with an ageing population. Robot carers could be used instead of human carers. The robots would be able to converse with their charges to keep their mental faculties going.
I told my son, that, if I ever get to the stage where I have to be cared for by a robot, he should put a pillow over my face!
— dAPHNE — They have a robot for that too. It walks around shouting ‘Exterminate. Exterminate.’ in a croaky voice.

Good laugh I had a good laugh at that one Joy, thanks!!

Marvin the Paranoid Android We are getting a robot at work to streamline some of the tasks we do. I don’t have any idea of what the installed “beast” will look like (hopefully all happening when I am off having some surgery). However - I’ve got this vision in my head , with apologies to Douglas Adams, I can hear it now - “Here I am brain the size of a planet and they ask me to…Call that Jobsatisfaction?”
