Hi All
I had reconstruction in November 23 which involved having my implant replaced due to the radiotherapy. Anyway the new implant has moved/rotated. I went back for my 2nd appointment this week and although there has apparently been a slight improvement it’s still not right. I have been told I will have another review in April and if it’s not righted itself I will need tweaking! I have worn the Amonea post surgery bra almost 24/7 (Except for the hour when I have washed and dried it) and this still happened. My surgeon did say that the pocket may be too big as alot of scar tissue was removed which might be causing the implant to have space to move and feel if this is the case, waiting another 3 months isn’t going to change anything. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar issue?
Hi LisaJday,
I have not been through the same as you but what I would say is that you should not be blaming yourself for the brief time you were not wearing your post-surgery bra. It sounds like your surgeon has a good idea of what might be going on and the slight improvement sounds positive. It’s no fun is it waiting another three months I can imagine but do have faith in your surgeon. I am sure there will be other options for you but it might just take some time for you to heal after all the treatment you have gone through. Hope this is encouraging/helpful. I have an implant that took a while to get used to but I am very fond of my “foob” as I call it now. xx
Hi
Thank you for your reply and yes it was helpful so thank you again. On the bright side I have managed to get me appointment moved 3 weeks earlier for my review so if there is no improvement I will have a POA sooner!
Funny, I also call it my foob (Which took a lot of explaining to some people).
xx
Glad to hear that we are sharing the “foob.”
