I wonder if you could advise.
Over a month ago I went for a chest x-ray…I only had the results recently. It was a normal result but there were some observations. One that was brought to my attention was regarding a rounded density near my right armpit.
I was quite surprised by this and headed off to my GP on the same day…she checked me over and said you could possibly feel a small lymph node on the right side…all other areas seem fine. This made me anxious as my mother passed away from BC in 2015.She has made a refferal to the breast clinic for my peace of mind.
Can I ask what the term rounded density actually means…Can this happen on x-rays or does it mean there is something there?
Iv got another 10 days wait for my appointment but finding it difficult sleeping or eating…the area on my right armpit doesn’t feel lumpy or hard…IV been pressing down on it alot and it’s made it abit tender…I look in the mirror against the light and it is slightly raised but not firm.
I’m quite scared…could you kindly shed light on this…many thanks Angie

Thanks for posting. It’s understandable that you’re scared about the area found in your right armpit, given your mum passed away from breast cancer, and it’s good to know you have an appointment at the breast clinic.
Breast changes, including ‘rounded densities’, can happen for many reasons. They may be due to hormonal changes as part of your monthly cycle (if you are still having periods) or due to benign conditions (not cancer). The area may be a fluid filled cyst or a lymph node. Lymph nodes sometimes swell as a reaction to a virus, and their role is to filter out bacteria and germs.
