Please can you let me know if anyone has taken brand letrozole brand Rudipharm.Pharmacist keeps changing my brand and I am being really affected by side effects. I was on Accord which I got used to, then they changed me to Cipla, which did not agree with me , now Rudipharm. Please help.
Hi. Have you spoken to the pharmacist and asked not to get that brand. I had a similar thing recently. I have been having a few different brands but a few months ago was given a different one. I can’t remember which one but it gave me unbearable hot flushes. I explained this to the pharmacist, I thought she would think I was mad but she didn’t seem surprised. They said they couldn’t guarantee which brand I would get but would make a note of the one I didn’t like and do their best not to give me it. So far so good. It’s worth a conversation.
Yes, i had the conversation with the pharmasist and they said that they can only get certain brands in. I had been on the same brand for 14 months. They have suggested to try different phamasists. Will see what happens.
Hi I’m on Accord brand, and spoke to both my GP and Pharmacist who now ensures i only get the Accord brand, but if the main pharmacist isn’t present when i collect i have to open the bag before leaving the chemist to ensure the correct brand has been issues… because they cannot give the tablets to anyone else after you have left, but whilst in store they can just change the label and re-distribute. Yes i had adverse reactions with other brands. So its best to stick to the one which works for you, especially as you have to be on it for 10 years. I also get a 3 month supply, to help with consistency. Moonsox xx
Can i ask what area you are in as the pharmasist said they cannit get accord in
Greater Manchester. Might be worth you trying another chemist. if you find one you will need the script back from the chemist that can’t get it. Then find out which ‘warehouse - sorting hub’ they use. Hope this helps. Moonsox xxx
Ps If all else fails go back to your christie’s pharmacy or local hospital where you are having treatment. it might mean a trek but that product seems to be the most popular. Mxx

I was given this brand a few weeks ago and since taking it have started with tension like headaches. I’m booked in for a head CT scan but hoping the change in brand is responsible for the headaches.
