Sad News of Kelyn

I’m very sorry and sad to say that I received this email from Lynda’s niece, Andrea, today.

"I am sorry to have to inform you of the very sad news that Lynda (KELYN) passed over peacefully at 1am this morning (Wednesday 2nd July).

Lynda was only expected to live for 3 hours when she was admitted to hospital 2 weeks and 1 day ago, but in typical Lynda style fought it every step of the way. In the end the cancer was just to advanced and there was no chance that she could recover. I like to think that Lynda was ready to join her Dad rather than lost her battle to cancer. She chose when to say goodbye.

Keith and Lynda are a devoted couple who lived for each other and it was fitting that Lynda and Keith said their goodbye alone.
Lynda was very peaceful on her final day and slept most of the time, which was comforting to see her relaxed and at peace. In her final moments Lynda woke and looked at Keith one last time then took her dads hand and slipped away.

I know everyone has different beliefs, but Lynda said during her final days that she could see her Dad and I believe that is true.

I know that the message that Lynda would like to leave is never give up hope, fight it all the way and make your own choice when its time for the final curtain.

With much love and best wishes Andrea (Lynda’s niece). xx"

Such sad, sad news. All my love and prayers to Keith, Sue, Andrea and all of Lynda’s family.

Sally - Thank you for passing this message on to us, a lot of us have been thinking of Lynda.
If you are able to e-mail Andrea at some time please do say how terribly sad we are for her and her family, especially Keith, that Lynda has died.
It is a little comfort that she was peaceful, but a terrible tragedy that breast cancer has claimed the life of yet another young woman.
Sincere condolences to all her family, and thinking also of those who are affected by this sad news.

Feel so sad. Have been thinking about Lynda all week. Sincere condolences to Keith and all the family. This disease is taking far too many lovely people.
Our thoughts are with you all and know exactly what you are going through … its a small consolation that Lynda isn’t suffering any more and hopefully is with her Dad … it doesn’t help you missing her but it is is true. I have had to think this way about Lisa. I have surrounded myself with photos of how she was a year ago and beyond and tried not to concentrate on the last few days of her life, although I will never forget.
Hope you find strength over the next few weeks

I am so very sorry to hear that Kelyn has died. I remember her thread so poignantly titled just in June: “Thought original diagnosis was good…so wrong.”

My condolences to Lynda’s hsband, family and friends

Very very sad and distressing news.

Sincere condolences to Lynda and her whole family.

I am sure she is looking down on her family with her fathers arms around her and smiling. She will always be in your thoughts and heart along with her Dad and at least she is now at peace and reunited again with her Dad.

God Bless you Lynda (Kelyn), you are finally at peace.

Lots of love

Hi Sally, so sad to hear of Lynda’s demise at such a young age.

I do hear and feel your thoughts…my twin brother died at 50 yrs old of a brain tumour… I sat by his bed for the two weeks beforehand, mostly him sleeping, didn’t know what to do except hold his hand, feed him melted ice cream, reminisce about our childhood, and tell him how much I loved him. He died peacefully at home, in no pain due to exceptional care by his GP.

One day, hopefully, we will rid the world of the scourge of cancer, in all its forms. I hope with my own bc, that I can have as easy a passge as he did…but hoping I have many more years to live.

With sincere condolences…
Liz.

Kelly, Dawn and myself used to chat alot with Lynda during chemo, she was so lovely and so supportive. It’s just too shocking and awful how quickly it can take hold.

Rest peacefully.
