After having problems getting my usual prescription I phoned Sandoz today to be told it was discontinued a few weeks ago. Iam absolutely gutted as this was the only brand which gave me no side effects … I now have to see my oncologist to find an alternative. The side effects of different brands were horrendous as Iam sure many of you know.
Wanted to give a heads up to any of you ladies out there who are on Sandoz Letrozole.
I was on letrozole for over 2 years and preferred the Accord brand and so it was prescribed.
One month accord wasent available and I was given Sandoz which I wasent too keen on. I think it’s the generic one nearest to femera …the original.
I’ve just been called today by Boots to say that they can’t get me Sandoz any more as it has been discontinued. It’s the only brand that suits me. Absolutely gutted!

Probably discontinued as it’s more expensive thank Accord , Cipra etc …the only thing u can do is ask for the original brand Femera which is the same as Sandoz. You will probably have to fight to get it but if you take it 5/10 years you want some quality of life without too many side effects .
I am using letrozole and feeling really weird with it
You are lucky to get Femara as I tried before and they wouldn’t prescribe it as too expensive £95 a box
