One of my friends, who will be helping hand in the petition today is the daughter of the late Lord Taylor, who was health minister responsible for setting up the NHS in the post war Labour Government, so she will be able to tell our local MP what her father would have made of the proposed changes.
Good to have this update. Hope the handing over goes well and demonstrates strength of feelings about the NHS - it’s good to be reminded of its origins.
