Just wanted to report on here that my scan results were good and my tms have fallen more than 60% on Eribulin…going on the ‘hunt a vein’ trail again today. And will fillup my tank with Zometa also, so the Eribulin and Zometa will be chasing each other around like nanites!
So so happy! My lovely team have just phoned me with news that my CT scan showed a further reduction so now 30% in total after 4 months on PIPA trial! Hubby doesn’t need to come with me on Thursday now and I don’t need to stress for hours either, thank you doctors for your call!
Grateful thanks for all your positive thoughts and I’m sending mine on to everyone waiting for results. Lying on my swing bench in the garden watching bees on the lavender, feeling blessed xxx

What a farce today has been I arrived early for my 9.30 appointment. Had to wait over 1 hour and then 1/2 hour for onc to see me. My onc has left to have a baby last week so I knew things would be different and I didn’t know who I would be seeing. It was a registra I have never head of or seen before she was lovely very young and unsure about things. I asked her about my scan results she knew nothing about it I asked her about my recent visit to another hospital concerning the ECT I had in June she had no notes about it. So off she went to make enquiries came back about 20 mins later only to say the scan results were not back yet she blamed the bank holiday and also the reaon for not hearing from the consultant on the holiday. She was so apologetic about it all so I said ok organise my cape tablets and my Denosumab injection. She could see I wasn’t pleased about it all and said I could have an appointment for next week. I then told Helen the staff nurse who gives me my appointment for next time that I was really cheesed off and asked her if Jenny the BN was around. She said she was in MDT meeting anyway the meeting must have finished early as she popped her head in.
Anyway we had a really good chat and she understood how I felt she said that things were all upside down because another onc was also leaving to have a baby another was wanting to go back to her country and the one who was taking over was not quite ready for some reason. She said the onc who had retired 2 week ago had decided to help out next week and it will be her that I will see as my appointment is 3.00. She reasured me about my other issues concerning the ECT and I felt much better.
Then because it had all been upside down the chemo dept was also running late with total disorganised chaos from the other department. I was so pleased to be out of the place from arriving at 9.00 am to leaving at 2.15 p.m But I am still going to have to wait another week.
Sorry if I have gone on too much but I do hope your results will be ok tomorrow Janette and anyone else waiting for results.
Oh marirose what a circus for you today …it would seem oncologists don’t stay for very long and move on …suppose it must b a depressing line of work though.
Mine retired back in May and next week I’m meeting my new one …feel I’ve lost my safe hands too.

Oh marirose what a nightmare day you had! They really don’t get how important and stressful these appts are for us do they. Well I hope your next appt goes better for you love.
Think it will be next week before I get my mri results because my onc is on holiday this week.
