Is it common for scar tissue to appear after a WLE. Had my op end of july and now noticed scar tissue above scar line. Saw onc today she doesnt think its anything to worry about. Still makes u worried though. Has anyone had anything similar xx
Hi. Thanks for that. Just having chemo at the mo then radio after. I think when u have been through anything like this it just makes u worry so much. Trying not to though. Xx
I’m 9 months post op and received radiotherapy after andCurrently on tamoxifen and Zoladex . My scar is barely noticible - the cancer was behind my nipple but my clever surgeon managed to save it. So I do look good but it feels horrendous - I constantly feel like I’m breast feeding, I have a dragging sensation and lots of lumpy tissue. It does seem to get worse during the night and become hot and swollen. I’m told this is normal but I can’t help but worry ( how are you supposed to notice changes in your breast when it constantly feels different). Back at my onc on Monday so hopefully I’ll get some reassurance as I don’t have a scan until February . Try not to worry - scar tissue is normal. Good luck with the chemo x
