Scared, confused & paranoid

Hi all

Have been a bit of a stalker the last few weeks on here.

My story so far…

Found a marble sized lump on Thursday 13th August, had a doc appointment on Monday 17th and then went to the breast clinic on Thurs 20th. Had an Ultrasound and vacuum biopsy.

The people i saw said it “looked like a fibroadenoma” but couldn’t rule anything out, hence the biopsy.

I know i should feel reassured but have this horrible nagging feeling. Still waiting for results and the waiting is making me very anxious & paranoid. I’ve had a lot of trouble with my lymph glands recently. Right now my neck glands are swollen and sore and about 5/6 weeks ago- the ones in my armpit were raised aswell!

I know i’m prob putting 2 and 2 together and coming up with 80 but i’m just so worried. I have 3 kids (one with Autism) so i can’t imagine being ill.

If the breast nurse thought it was suspicious- would she have said so? Or do they keep quiet incase they’re wrong? Are biopsies ALWAYS done, or is it only if something suspicious is suspected?

It is possible for a lump to look like a Fibro but actually be BC?

Aarghhh!

Hi LD

Trying to second guess the result is only natural but you can end up running over and over in your head what they did and didn’t mean when they did or didn’t say what you think or don’t think they were thinking. Have a break, take your mind off it - make the most of a wet bank holiday!
