Hi. I’m new to this site. I guess I’m just wanting to hear from others who are in a similar situation to me. I found a small lump on the top area of my left breast. It’s hard and doesn’t move. I saw my doctor 3 weeks ago (it feels like it’s been forever) but I have my scan next week. I have no pain in the breast. Just the lump… do you think this is a positive sign? X

Hello and welcome to the forum.
This is an anxious time however you have done exactly the right thing in getting the lump checked out by going to your GP for a referral.
As you will see on here there are a lot of ladies who have had lumps which have turned out not to be bc. The breast clinics do not just deal with bc there are a lot of benign conditions that they treat and they are the experts.
Try not to google generally as there is a lot of outdated misinformation out there which will only cause you anxiety.
If you want to let us know how you get on and if you need any support we are always here for you.
Sending you hugs
Helena xx
Thank you for taking the time to respond. I have read that over 80% are benign. I’m literally struggling to sleep. I’ve gone through numerous scenarios in my head too. I guess I’m just wanting someone to tell me that because it’s small , hard and painless that means it’s ok? Xx
Thank you ladies so much. A week today ??Xxx
