Hi everyone… I went to the breast clinic 3 years ago as I had found a lump. They did a needle aspiration and said it was a firoadenoma. Yesterday I returned as i had found another lump…this turnt out to be cyst. I also expressed my concern about the fibroadenoma still being there. She decided to take a look and said it had changed since the last time. I had a core biopsy done and have to go back next monday. Can fibroadenoma change and has anyone else had the some experience…thanks xx
Sorry I can’t answer your question cos my lump was cancer from the word go, but I’m sure someone will be along who’s got more knowledge who will be able to give you some relevant information.
If not call the helpline tomorrow - they are very knowledgeable and will be able to answer your question.
Good luck for the results on Monday - the waiting is the worst part and we always focus on worst case senario.

Hi …I rang the helpline this morning and the lady said it can change in size.
I am really starting to panic now and can’t wait for monday.
My mind has been taken over by this and I cannot think of any thing else.
Concentrating is even harder and I am a blonde bombo already …!!!
My hubbie just says “what you worrying about and that everything will fine”…I really hope he is right!!!
thanks for your comments above

I can agree that the waiting is the worst part. It drives you round the bend and every hour seems like a day so Monday will seem like it takes years to come round. I’m worked during the time from referral to tests and then again from confirmation to surgery … if I was at work there were things to keep me distracted whereas if I had been at home I would have been on my own and my mind would have gone into overdrive.
Once again good luck for Monday and fingers crossed all is fine.
Thankyou Lilacblushes
You are right that you have to keep busy. I do work for a few hours during the day as until Friday.
It is a private school and they break up then. I think I have become slightly obsessed with coming on here
and I cannot beleive I have put this site on my favourites so I have quicker access.
I have read so many stories of such courage and determination…this really has been an eye opener
as to what so many people have to endure on a daily basis. It really does make you think that stressing over minor issues is so unproductive.
Thanks again …Sharon x
Hi Shaz -
I remeber only too well being where you are now. I think my wine consumption increased a bit during that week. It is tough, somehow once you know no matter what the diagnosis it is easier - well it was for me.
The best bitof advice I had was not too look at too many websites, you may scare yourself to death unnecessarily.
You take care thinking of you - Monday will come. Let us know how you get on.
Jacqui
Thanks Jacqui…Will let you know the outcome on Monday…
I am feeling more positive today and I have read alot of good stories where the worst has not been told.
So I shall try and stay optimistic and hopefully tell you all good results on mon!!
Best wishes to you all

Good news…every-thing is fine. Just have to wait for an appointment to have it removed.
I hope anyone who is reading this who is waiting for their results can be assured that it’s not always the worst outcome.
The waiting part is indeed stressful and I have had a rollercoaster week.
I wish all you ladies who are going through treatment my very best wishes and wish you all the very best of luck.
This site has been really helpful…thankyou xxxxx
