I had three sentinel lymph nodes removed which I found quite painful but what’s really bothering me is Can small 5mm invasive Ductal Carcinoma which is Grade 3 and HER 2 already have spread to the lymph nodes or is it unlikely as the area is so small ?
My first lump was only 1.5 cm so very small - my cancer was Grade 3 and 9 out of 19 nodes were affected. The other descriptions of your cancer did not apply to me so not sure if this info helps you or not. Everyone’s diagnosis is so individual to the person that it makes it hard to compare like for like.
Take care

Hi Zelda I too had mastectomy and three lymph nodes removed and must agree that it is still painful after 12 days, I just need to be sure that they have done everything possible for me, even though I am still in pain. My results are on Friday and it is the waiting because I keep wondering it is going to be more bad news or can I just get on with the rest of my treatment.
Whether it be chemo, herceptin or hormone therapy, I’ll take whatever so that I have the best chance in life, and hopefully move forward and enjoy the rest of it. Hope you don’t have too much longer to wait, forget to tell you that I am grade 2 and her 2 positive with lobular cancer.
Best wishes
Lynne
Hi I had my results on Friday and clear from the lymph nodes which was such a relief, just waiting for Oncoligist app but was told that will need chemo radiation therapy herceptin and hormone therapy, this is due to Her2 positive. Glad you had the all clear also.

How long did you have to wait for Oncologist app? I still have’nt had my letter as yet but I have received to apps one foe prosthesis and the other is for next September for my yearly Mastectomy.
I’ll be asking my BCN to see what’s happening, It should be within 31 days to start chemo and mine has been 23 days so far. Not that I’m eager to start but want to look at going back to work once I know what’s happening and how I’ll feel.
Good luck

Hi Zelda
I start chemo on the 03 Oct and have to hormone therapy and somthing else, I’ll deal with it after chemo. Went for my wig fitting just in case the cold cap doesn’t work, quite surprised how good they look but still not like your own. Hope everything is going well for you.
Best wishes-Lynne
