What a lovely day its been today back on my hill walks done 20miles feeling good toe hurting managed to get my trainers on hope can get shoes on for back to work on thursday… Lorna hope you had a nice sunny weekend in Oxford I think you were going to friends. .I was stuck in. Street comp 11hr day yesterday so missed the sun made up for it today
though …sposed to be nice this week and next going away next weekend to the lake district hope nice weather…and hope nice for our meet up the weekend after Xx

Hope your weekend went well lorna , making the most of this week as back to work Monday , still get tiered but it’s not as bad , hope every one else is doing fine especially you ladies going through rads . Hello everyone!
I have 11/20 sessions today. For the first time my breast feels slightly sore. However, that’s nothing compared with the allergy I caught last week (bad cheese?) I look like a burst boot. I am all puffy, my ears, cheeks, eyes are itchy, sore, and red. I am not on Accord or Temoxifen yet, but it is as if I am practicing for hot flushes too. For the first time in my life, I got into A&E as priority. If my rash reaches my breast, the radiotherapy has to be suspended. I am prescribed steroids and antihistamine. The allergic reaction is going down. Not able to sleep, I saw last night eclipse and blood moon. I went for today’s radiotherapy zoombiefied, with my sun glasses on, I forgot to take them off. The nurses were adorable, they pretended not to notice.
FED UP, Aaahhhhrrr!!! - but keep on the finishing line girl, free after my 20th radiotherapy!!! After I learned today that my follow-up is six weeks afterwards, I did something a bit rash, plenty of that at present, but nice. Definitively.
Today, I book not one, but two 1 week holidays. I am bolting to Andalucia a week after radiotherapy ends; and still not satisfied, and because I could not resist the chocolate, I will also fly to Switzerland, cheap tickets £38/each way with drink, sandwich and a bar of chocolate included. I blame the chocolate.
My friends said on the phone, they don’t care accommodating a zombie.
Keep well, and stay away from delicious unpasteurised goat cheese! Egret x

Had visit from boss today , agreed very slow return over a month from 12 Oct.Still feel v tired but skin much more normal.

Hi all hope you are all doing well. Had a lovely afternoon - treated my mum to afternoon tea for her birthday and my daughter came as well. Have felt so full since but back on the healthy eating and exercise tomorrow! Had a bit of a blip at the weekend - felt exhausted on Saturday night and slept in on Sunday morning, think I needed to catch up on my sleep. Maybe I have been overdoing it, did work quite a bit last week and did go for it at my boot camp on Saturday morning but am trying to get my life back on track. I guess it will take longer than I expected to get back to full health and fitness.
My nails are terrible really splitting not sure if anyone has any tips to help. I can’t have extensions as I work with food. My skin is really dry as well not sure if it’s the Letrozole or not.
How about calling our chat Onwards in October!

Hi Egret,
Hope that your are feeling a bit better and that your boob has not got any worse. I’ve had 11 of 15 sessions today. I was a bit itchy a couple of days ago but it seems to have settled again apart from it looking a bit pink with a few tiny red spots. I just keep slapping the E45 on and am hoping for the best - only 4 sessions to go before I ring the bell. I’m of to spend a few days at my caravan with my daughter a couple days after I finish rads and its mine and my grandaughter’s birthday this weekend so hoping to gets some 'mand a nice meal off the kids. I’m in Stockport, near Manchester and I’m going to The Christie Hospital for rads and they are very good.
