Hi, I’ve been on Letrozole for 11 months now. About two months ago I started with stiffness in my ankles and knees. This past two weeks my one knee has become considerably worse and is very painful. It has stopped me doing yoga and now I can’t manage to walk the dog. Has anyone else had similar experience? I’m thinking of a medication holiday to see if it helps and wondered if anyone else had done this?

Hi….Yes. I’ve been on letrozole since September 2020. It does get better.. I was too scared to have a break from it. However, I have noticed a massive difference in the brands. I can tolerate some better than others and my chemist now ensures that I stick with the ACCORD brand.. This makes life much better with less pain. It’s almost like how I remember normal to be. The fillers they use in some of the other tablets (which are also cheaper) do affect people differently. Even my BCN and consultant agree.

Hello, I had a medication break of two weeks and then eventually changed to Anastrazole which I’m tolerating a lot better.
Maybe have a chat and discuss discussion with your oncologist because they should be able to help.
