I am having my seroma drained for the 3rd time tomorrow under my arm where my lump was and I had some lymph nodes removed. I have radiotherapy next week. How long is the draining likely to continue as it’s a 3 hour round trip? Thanks

I had a large seroma and I think I had it trained three or four times. Fortunately I live near the hospital. A 3-hour drive is a long way just to get that done, so I would ask the doctor or nurse next time you have it done whether it really needs any further draining. It will be reabsorb naturally eventually.

I have mine drained 3 times, it then absorbed hopefully this will be the last time for you that’s a long journey.
