Hi I’m in need of some advice. I’ve not had op yet, that’s next Friday. I am coping with all of this but my biggest worry is taking hormone tablets whilst taking sertraline which I have taken for years. It frightens me as I once was prescribed tramadol for a slip disc and when I stopped it sent me downhill very quickly and I didn’t take many. My anxiety had improved over the last theee years and getting that back and feeling low scares me to death more than the cancer as I go to pieces and can’t function. Does anyone on here take antidepressants? Thank you vic xxxx

Certainly others here have been in anti depressants & hormone therapy, who will hopefully be along to advise.
It may also be an idea to post in ‘ask our nurses’ as medication questions are obviously quite common.

Hi! I’m on Sertraline and Anastrozole. I get very panicky too! Knowing that the hormone treatment is keeping those nasty cancer beggars at bay is very calming. As I take my tablet each day I say out loud ‘take that you barstewards’ just to prove I’m in charge!!!
It’s a very scary time for you at the moment but a short while down the line you’ll come out the other end. ?️♀️ Hugs.
