Severe non allergic rhinitis after stopping HRT

Hello, I am 21 months post lumpectomy for grade 1 ER+ IDC. I chose not to take letrozol but had to come off HRT. The last 20 months have been the worst in my life.

I have suffered so many different complaints, conditions, syndromes, and my health anxiety is now out of control. But one thing is now making me almost suicidal, chronic non allergic rhinosinusitis. I had mild sinusitis anyway, but since stopping HRT it’s been 24/7. I get 3 hours sleep max a night and mostly sitting upright on the sofa. My sinuses are completely dry and inflamed.

I have seen 3 consultants and tried every remedy known to man which work for an hour at most before I need to reapply. It has truly taken over my life. I have to wear nose plugs when outside, together with a mask if it’s windy. My right eye feels like it’s popping out from pressure behind it. My last ENT consultant suggested it has been worsened by HRT cessation.

Has anyone else suffered like this? Have you gone back on HRT and if so, did it help?

Thanks. Amanda
