I feel like this is a weird question, but are we allowed to shave armpits after surgery? I haven’t been told a thing about this by the BC team but reading stuff on line about not being able to shave ever again and forever having to be careful of cuts because of Lymphoedema risks.
Is this true? Is there forever a risk of swelling? I think I’m naive in thinking this was a temporary risk after surgery!
I had lump and node surgery 2 weeks ago today and don’t want hairy pits for my check up next week
I will be having my nodes removed along with left mastectomy in the next months time. I didn’t even think of this. Is there another cut from the node removal or do they do it from the breast? So much to take in. Thanks for posting this as I wouldn’t have even thought about it.
