Just been diagnosed with ER and PR+ve cancer and I am wondering if I should stop taking my minipill…I did ask the nurse before the results of the biopsy, but I’ve realised she didn’t actually answer the question…and now its too late to call back! Realise this is probably not really urgent but still a bit in shock and not wanting to feed the beast so to speak!

Diagnosed with Invasive Duct cancer grade 2 on Xmas Eve & was told to stop my pill ( cerelle) straight away, incase its a hormone fed cancer , still waiting for my receptors …. All these terms grades stages still blowing my mind … but would stay stop

Most ER+ breast cancers are progesterone sensitive too ( mine was Er8/Pr6). So , to be on safe side , stop.
Yes I was told to get the Mirena Coil (progesterone) removed straight away
Yes hun stop taking the pill if your cancer is hormal as there will be progesterone or estrogeon in your cancer, in my case both and so i had to stop taking it as the cancer feeds of it
