Hi everyone - am new here, I’ll try and be concise - I found a lump which was quite hard although did seem to be able to move but was also quite big - booked a doc appt and had that last Monday. Doc examined me and prodded and poked feeling around the lump and then promptly referred me to the breast clinic at the hospital (which appointment is tomorrow) now my question is this - before the doc examined me it didn’t hurt at all, but since examination it really hurts to touch or moving or getting out of bed - like a really uncomfortable pain - however If I keep bra on that stops ‘pain’ as it only seems to be when breast moves freely if that makes any sense? My hosp appt is tomorrow and I’m really scared. Is this normal to have pain after an examination? Doc said it wasn’t a cyst as it was irregular shaped - my mum had breast cancer 3 years ago so I am really frightened
All advice greatly received thanks x
Hi Discopanda,
Sorry to hear that you are going through this. I understand how scared and worried you just be feeling. I just wanted to say that I’ll be thinking of you today. Have you got someone to come to your appointment with you? I wonder if the pain you are experiencing is as a result of the Drs prodding and poking?
Best wishes xxx
Hi Hufflepuff thank you so much for the reply. Yes I hope it was just the doc prodding and poking - but I took bra off today and pain seems to have gone again thankfully… I almost had a happy moment of thinking the lump was also gone but I think I feel it a bit further to the top of breast now - so perhaps it’s moved? Thinking this may be a good sign? Perhaps when doc may have moved it , it pressed against a nerve that was causing the discomfort? Either way appt is 2.45 this afternoon and yes someone is coming with me thank you thanks for your kind words. Xx
Hey thanks for asking - it went fab and it was just a large cluster of cysts. So relieved thanks again for your words xx
