I’ve been having slightly shallower baths but wonder when to have a shower I soo miss them

Hi @harris1,

Thanks for getting in touch following your recent surgery.

Glueing wounds following breast surgery is very common and often allows people to shower quite quickly afterwards. However, if you are unsure about anything relating to your wounds, it is important to speak with your treatment team who can offer support and specific advice for your situation.

The use of soaps and deodorants to the direct area of the wounds is not usually recommended until the wounds are fully healed.

You can find information here relating to your operation and recovery which may be helpful to you.

Feel free to call our helpline if you would like to talk this through or have any further questions. We often find we can help people more by speaking to them on the phone. The helpline team have time to listen, talk things through and signpost you to further support and information if necessary. Your call will be confidential, and the number is free from UK landlines and all mobile networks.

Our number is 0808 800 6000. If you have hearing or speech difficulties dial 18001 followed by our number and the call will go through Relay UK. Our helpline has access to telephone interpreters if language translation is required.

Our usual opening hours are Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm and 9am -1pm on Saturdays.

We are closed on English bank holidays.

Out of hours you can leave a message and we will call you back when we next open.

Best wishes,

Cheryl
