Was on my way to a pet scan on tuesday .. was cancelled. Re arranged on Friday. . . 8 15. Arrive. Machine not working. Waited an hour for an engineer. They hadn’t read my notes. Was asked if I was ‘breast feeding’. (So many responses so little time.) Ended up having a huge panic attack & leaving…
I love the assumption that we can drop everything for a hospital appointment. I had 3 different ones the week before day surgery, just as well I’m retired as the distance involved would have meant missing over a day’s work when I was fit enough to be there!
I’ve read somewhere that they’re now obliged to ask everyone male or female in a certain age group if they could be pregnant or are breastfeeding so don’t take it personally.
I hear ya, though I do feel there should be some sensitivity in these questions. I mean - i am a tit down & infertile post chemotherapy at 39 so it hits hard. X
That’s just rude! I get numerous reminders telling me each missed appointment costs them £227 but you’re just meant to be infinitely available? I hope they explain why.
Oh gosh - really! Was on my way to pet scan last monday and it was cancelled. Rescheduled to friday. Turn up and machine is broken - wait for an hour. End up having huge panic attack.
Try to push forward and get to gynae appointment - on route and cancelled. I simply do not have the tenacity to get myself through all this and rearrange all the appointments.
