Hi
I had 2nd EC chemo Friday and I’m injecting filgrastim. I feel worse today than I have all week. I’m weak and wobbly, tired have back ache and muscle pains and I’m bloated…but the weirdest thing is the sensation round my DIEP reconstruction, they are tight and where I have numbness from surgery underneath, it seems pronounced.
Can you shed any light on this?
Thank you
I have all you side effects even I am on different chemo (docetaxol/carbo/pheago) and same injections as you but my advice is call you rcancer line first then call BN.
Don’t hesitate to reach for help don’t struggle alone.
Hi drummersmum
Thanks for posting. It sounds as though you are having a difficult time after your 2nd EC chemotherapy and injecting filgrastim.
The symptoms you describe are common side effects from having these drugs, but it would be a good idea to contact your treatment team to let them know how you feel.
It’s not possible to say what is causing the tight sensation and increased numbness you are having around your DIEP reconstruction. Do contact your breast care nurse to let them know of this change so they can advise you. They may suggest seeing your surgeon to be checked over and assessed.
