Hi no not always it depends on bloods I’ve had a cold sore every other one but was told if bloods ok will still go ahead
not with a cold as such. if you are showing signs of infection ie temp rising and feeling quite poorly.
they can check your blood count on the day, but you must inform them as soon as you can.

What they usually seem to base it on is your blood test results so if your bloods are ok it will probably happen as normal. I had a cold in the middle of my chemo and it still went ahead as my bloods were ok. I Actually called the chemo ward for permission to have a lemsip!
Not a silly question at all. Why not give them a ring and ask? If they think you are well enough and your bloods are Ok they will go ahead. Friday is still a way off in blood/infection terms, so see how you go.
Keep an eye on your temperatrure - but you know that anyway.

I got a cold but I still had chemo as temp fine and not infected as such, bloods OK.
What I did do was eat loads of garlic bread and garlic related stuff as soon as I started with a sniffle as I’d heard this helps your bloods. Dont’ know if this is true or not but it seemed to help me so I went with it.

I like the idea of the garlic bread…just so happened was planning spag bol for tea…perfect excuse for a good ole’ carb pig out!
