Hi, i wonder if you could help me please.
My sister in law was diagnosed with bc in August 2007, just four weeks after giving birth to my niece. it was a fast growing tumour and so she had her breast removed. A year later the cancer was present in her other breast and so she had that removed. Then in October last year (2009) she was getting terrible headaches and being sick and in November we were told the news that it had spread to four parts of her brain and it was terminal.
She has had so many tablets to take and also chemo and radio but her liver has become really poorly so they have taken her off all medication at the moment while it cleanses itself. She is waiting for an app for stereotactic radiotherapy but has been waiting for 3 weeks so far and i am concerned that in this time the tumour is getting bigger and and bigger?
Has anyone else had anything similar to this?
Thanks for you replies in advance.
Have read loads of what is written on here and all of you are the bravest people in the world. Bless you all.

Hi Sam
I’m sorry I hve no experience of brain mets but know that waiting for any treatment to start is the hardest time. I was on a chemo break during the summer and whilst it as lovely to be off all tablets for a while you do naturally worry that tumour is growing. It’s getting the right balance so that your sister in law is fit for treatment yet not deteriorating, I hope she has a good onc supporting her. I’m sure someone will come alone soon with advice as you say the ladies on this site are so knowledgable and wonderful.
I wish your sister in law all the best and she is lucky to have family like you supporting her.
