Sjogrens and letrozole

Anyone taking letrozole and have Sjögren’s syndrome?
I have had sjogrens for about 4 years and apart from a dry mouth and using drops for my eyes, it hasn’t bothered me too much. However after being on letrozole for 2 years, this has all changed and I have swallowing difficulties and frequent gastritis etc
Must be a connection for such a deterioration
Anyone had similiar issues?

I’m not sure I have sjogrens because I did google it but I have an underactive thyroid , so I’ve had dry mouth and eyes for years.

The Anastrazole definitely made them worse ( 8 months in).

I use oralieve spray or gel .

It does help a bit but perhaps ask your BCN x

Yes I am thinking of asking for a short break from letrozole to see if it makes any difference. When I use any mouth gel , it also affects my stomach !!! Cannot win !

What a nightmare .
Sjorgend is autoimmune , as is my thyroid and I also have vitiligo , another autoimmune .
All affected by hormone imbalances . So. Once you start messing with the oestrogen , it throws them out .
I’m holding on to the Anastrazole for now but it’s tough.
I was a fit , never poorly , felt okay almost 56 year old until earlier this year
It will be interesting to see if the break makes a difference . Keep us updated !

Hi lottys, I would get your thyroid checked. I have recently been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism and have the same symptoms + several others. I put everything down to the adjuvant Abemaciclib but luckily my Gp checked my thyroid and the levels were apparently very high.
