Any people got any hope for skin mets treatments in 2024? So few anywhere. I have bone and lung too and am hoping that the targeted therapy I am just about to start will spread to the skin too. Any help or hope out there. am very very frightened. This was found after a ‘benign’ cyst removal!!!
I am so, so sorry. Treatment will depend on what kind of breast cancer you have but yes, anything that targets the bones and lung will also target the skin.
Hi
I have mets to skin and just had electro chemotherapy to the area
Find out if it’s worked next week
Hope you go on ok with your treatment xxx
So sorry to hear of your skin mets. I had Electrochemotherapy with Calcium subcutaneous in 2023. Unfortunately it did not work. In January 2024 I had Electrochemotherpy again with IV and subcutaneous Bleomycin. This too did not work. Following each course of Electrochemotherapy I have had to continue with systemic chemo ( Trodelvy) for Bone mets so my skin wounds never can heal.
I have heard wonderful things about the Electrochemotherpy so please do not lose hope. Every case is different. I will keep everything crossed for you. Stay hopeful x

I was diagnosed with Cutaneous Metastatic Breast Cancer last November (Nov 2023) and found out about a clinical trial at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in NYC that started this past February. I was able to get into the trial and it is truly a miracle. My nodules and lesions are healing! I am participating in phase II of the trial and phase I had an 80% success rate.
The trial involves a noninvasive drug that you take through an IV (the only side effect was that I was light sensitive for 3 weeks) and the next day they use an infrared laser to activate the drug. The laser then kills the tumors from the inside out. Several weeks after the treatment, scabs started forming on my skin began to heal. I met with my doctors at Memorial Sloan Kettering today and found out that they were still taking patients for the clinical trial. I want to get the word out to as many people as possible because this is truly a game changer. It is turning what is normally a dire prognosis into a miracle. Let me know if you would like more information. I’m hoping that this message reaches others with CMBC because there are 6 spots left in the clinical trial so there is still space if you want to join.
Such amazing news!
Trials in CMBC are so rare. I live in the UK and have explored everything there is to offer.Every type of Chemo then 3 years in was offered Electro -chemo with calcium and then another round a year later this time using Bleomycin. There has never been any improvement. The cutaneous nodules/cancer have never improved. I am being offered a 5 day course of radiotherapy to the area. Although given the area it’s in I feel like it carries huge risks.
Well done you on being brave enough to take part in this trial. Giving hope to all those who will come after us. Let’s hope someone on here can take up one of those 6 spaces left in the trial.

How do we get into this trial? I am interested. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Yes, absolutely! I’m happy to provide information on how to join the trial. I just completed my second treatment and after a week the nodules on my collorbone and neck were already shrinking to half their size.
