Skin Mets

Hello everyone,

Can anyone describe skin mets please? I have what resembles a small patch of eczema right under my mastectomy scar. It’s about as big as the nail on my little finger and I can’t decide if it’s worth making a special trip to the Breast Clinic for. It seems a bit odd having an isolated spot of excema almost touching the scar. My next clinic appointment is on 8th Jan.

I hope you have all had a reasonable day.

I had what they thought was a skin cancer about an inch or so under the breast which was removed at the same time as my breast. When the path report came back after my Mx they told me that it had breast cancer cells. I had it before they discovered my breast cancer … And if i had have it looked at earlier then they may have found my breast cancer earlier, they didn’t tell me that but i assume it was a secondary from my breast I kept meaning to mention it to my GP but just kept forgetting …then when the cancer diagnosis happened i showed it to the nurse, at my GP. She asked the GP to look at it and he said it was a skin cancer and asked me to ask the surgeon if they would remove it at the same time as he did the Mx.

It was like a little sore, i honestly thought it was where the underwiring on my bra was rubbing and i would occasionally put a dry dressing on to protect it. It wasn’t dry though like eczma, it never seemed to heal properly. Why not pop to your GP to have it looked at? Looking back i don’t know why i didn’t have it checked sooner…but that was before my diagnosis and i hardly ever went to the doctors then.

I have heard of some hormone therapies causing random patches of eczema though.
