Skin rash and soreness

Hello , I’m just wanting to ask if there is anything more I can do to ease the itching and soreness from rashes that have appeared a month after having 5 sessions of Radiotherapy on my right breast . I had WLE for DCIS high grade in June . I currently use an organic Calendula cream everyday ( Neals Yard Remedies) . Would taking an anti histamine help ?
Thank you in advance :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello pollytunnelgirl38

Thanks for your post. It’s understandable that you’re asking if there’s anything you can do to treat the rashes and itching on your breast following radiotherapy.

It’s not uncommon to experience skin changes in the following weeks or months after radiotherapy.

It’s important to be assessed by your treatment team, as they are best placed to recommend ways to manage the side effects you are experiencing. If you haven’t already, do contact them.

You may find the following Facebook live session on Radiotherapy helpful to watch.
