Skin reaction on Abemaciclib

Hello everyone. I’ve been coping really well with Abemaciclib and feel settled on it after 5 months. However, I developed a rash on both hands which ended up causing Cellulitis and Sepsis. I’m recovered now (it was very frightening) but I had to stop the Abemaciclib whilst I was unwell. The rash disappeared and I thought it must have been due to all the antibiotics. However, I went back on my Abemaciclib last week and the rash is back with a vengeance. It’s really sore and itchy. I’m wondering if this has happened to anyone else. If so, did you have to change to a different targeted therapy? I’m worried it will turn into cellulitis again. Thanks for reading!

I have been on Abemaciclib for 6 weeks and have developed a rash - hands, inner arms and shins. It’s mild and only intermittently itchy. When it first appeared I put hydrocortisone on it as I thought it was excema. This cleared it up! I mentioned it to the Oncologist and they just said keep an eye on it

I’m using Hydrocortisone cream but it’s not helping. I’ve stopped the Abemaciclib to see if that helps. It’s really hot and itchy.
